Just read this proverb out of The Message – a paraphrase of the Bible.

“Listening to gossip is like eating cheap candy;
do you really want junk like that in your belly?” Proverbs 18:8

How true is that?! Cheap candy tastes really good while you’re chewing it…for about 10 seconds…then as it settles in your stomach, you’re like, “ugh…why did i just do that!”
